Bambu Lab and E3D share the vision of future manufacturing. Today, we condense this vision into a jointly developed product. The E3D high-flow replacement hotend can provide 60% more flow rate, features the signature ObXidian™ hardened nozzle, and E3DLC™ coating for excellent durability.

The new hotend is the result of seamless cooperation between E3D and Bambu Lab. Both teams shared precious know-how on the hotend, the printer, and the thermal process of the materials. The end product is thoroughly tested by both teams and will be officially integrated into all the software ecosystems of Bambu Lab.

Non-Stick Coating, Reduce the Risk of Nozzle Blobing

The E3DLC™ coating is a thin, diamond-like layer applied via plasma, creating an ultra-smooth surface that significantly reduces plastic build-up on the nozzle. This non-stick property helps prevent nozzle blobs - especially useful when printing with sticky filaments like PETG.

Official-Tuned Printer Presets

Bambu Lab now offers official support for E3D Hotends. Users can download and import the official presets right away (Please upgrade Studio to the latest version available on the official website). For our future plan this year, these officially tuned presets will be directly available in Bambu Studio and Bambu Handy—just like the presets for Bambu Lab's stock nozzles.

The import method for the 0.4mm and 0.6mm Hotends is different, please follow the steps below.

For 0.6mm Hotend:

Step 1:For the 0.6mm nozzle, you need to download the 3MF file for the filament from the MakerWorld link below.

For X1 Series: Please download the 3MF file here.
For P1 Series: Please download the 3MF file here. 

PATH: Bambu Studio - AMS Materials Setting - Change Factor K - Confirm

Step 2: We have calibrated the flow rate and suggest you modify the corresponding Factor k before starting printing with the 0.6mm hotend.

If the filament you wish to print is not included in these options, you may utilize the E3D HF ObXidian™ Hotend with customized settings to accommodate your specific filament requirements.
