Important update about value-added tax on EU store

At Bambu Lab, we believe that transparency and compliance are key to building trust with our customers. As part of this commitment, we have recently made some changes to our EU store to comply with value-added tax (VAT) regulations in the EU.

Previously, the prices listed on the product pages did not include value-added tax. Instead, we calculated the tax based on the shipping country and added it to the total cost at checkout. However, we realized that this process may have been confusing for our customers, especially those who are not familiar with VAT regulations.

To make it easier for our customers to understand the true cost of their purchases, we have changed our prices to include value-added tax by default. This means that the prices you see on our website now include the applicable value-added tax rate for Germany, where our EU store is based. For customers outside of Germany, the value-added tax rate displayed at checkout will be adjusted based on the shipping country. Please be advised that Bambu Lab does not charge value-added tax (VAT) on orders ship to Norway and Switzerland. It is the customer's responsibility to cover any customs clearance fees. We recommend consulting your local tax authorities for specific fee standards. Additionally, please be aware that starting September 1,2024, Finland's standard VAT rate will increase from 24% to 25.5%.

This change ensures that our customers always know exactly how much they are paying for our products, without any surprises or confusion. We believe that this new pricing system will help us provide a more transparent and seamless shopping experience for our customers.

In addition to the pricing change, we have also launched a new page for customers who qualify for tax exemption. If you are eligible for tax-exempt status, you can now apply for a tax-exempt account to shop online. To do so, you will need to fill out an application form and provide proof of your tax-exempt status, such as a valid VAT ID or tax exemption certificate.

Once your application is reviewed and approved, your account will be marked as tax-exempt and you will no longer be charged VAT on your purchases. This is an important step for our customers who need to account for VAT in their business expenses, and we are pleased to offer this option to make our products more accessible to everyone.

We appreciate your continued support as we navigate the complexities of EU VAT regulations. As always, if you have any questions or concerns about VAT or tax-exempt status, please do not hesitate to reach out to our customer support team for assistance.

Thank you for choosing Bambu Lab and happy 3D printing!
